DRIFT-OPS 2008 SCHEDULE

Several years ago the founders of Drift Ops had a dream, a dream of drifting in Canada. Over six years ago we created "Drift Ops Inc." with a mission to make drifting a viable form of motorsports in Canada - and foremost in our home province of Ontario.

After many years of building the drifting scene alongside other organizations such as Drift Mania, we are excited to announce for the first time ever a CLEAR and DEFINED path for Canadians to progress from grassroots to international professional drift competition. Starting at the grassroots level, Drift Ops will be holding introductory courses to teach drivers the fundamentals of drifting. We will also be holding practice sessions to help drivers develop the advanced skills required for professional competition.

New for this year is a nationwide PRO-AM drifting series in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta & Quebec. Drift Ops will be responsible for the Ontario PRO-AM series. This series will give drivers the opportunity to develop the competitive driving skills required to successfully compete on a larger global scale. Winners of the PRO-AM series will receive licenses to compete in the 2009 Castrol DMCC Pro Drifting Series and eventually Formula Drift.
