From her earliest years, Marie-Laurence distinguished herself through the diversity of her interests. Having completed a Diploma of Collegiate Studies in Dance at the Drummondville CÉGEP, she is now a stunt performer and has decided to devote her life to automobile racing, a passion that she has pursued since 1996. After 8 years of road racing, she bought a 1995 Nissan 240SX in the summer of 2007 and has progressively modded it into a drift spec race car.

« I discovered karting at the age of 11 and was immediately hooked! I competed in this discipline for 6 years,  rising through the ranks and levels of competition. Afterwards, I was selected among all the Quebec karting drivers by the Basi Autosport Driving School and Racing Team and moved into the world of Formula 1600. I climbed the podium on my first weekend of racing in this new category! In 2004, during my second year of Formula 1600, I raced for a very competitive team, which gave me a lot of valuable experience, and which brought me a whole new set of driving skills. The Formula 1600 races that took place during The Trois-Rivieres Grand Prix and the Molson Indy on the Gilles-Villeneuve track were both very meaningful and rewarding experiences for me! »

« Automobile racing is truly a passion for me. Words can't begin to describe the feeling I have when I’m at the wheel of my car! The challenges of racing enthrall me and continually push me to outdo myself. My enthusiasm and desire to win have allowed me to learn a multitude of things about competitive driving. My talent and skills have both grown immeasurably throughout my 8 years of racing. Over these years, I internalized and put to use many of the important concepts and notions of car racing, and showed that I have the essential aptitudes of a good competitive driver. »

« The popularity of drift racing is without doubt on the rise in Quebec, as can be seen from the full grandstands at drifting events. After 8 years of competitive track racing, I have decided to throw myself in this new sport. Despite the fundamental differences between drifting and Formula 1600, this spectacular and impressive discipline will fulfill my needs for thrills and car control and will definitely push my driving skills to the next level. Mastering a car on the razor's edge between control and disaster is truly a fascinating prospect. I am looking forward to the pleasures of pushing my limits further by sliding my car as close to the edge as possible! »
