What’s nice about this DMCC 2 podium is that the two first steps are young guys with almost no budget. This tells me that you don’t have to have 300WHP, thousands of dollars and big sponsors to do something great in drift. It’s so encourraging for young new drivers that are actually practicing in Driftthing Night serie to see Patrick Cyr and Stephan Scardocchio get these rewards ! You guys are model for initiates…
I would say that even if both drivers impressed me a lot, i’ve been so impressed by the smoke show made by Patrick’s small AE86 with almost no WHP. Important to notice that he had a marvelous line when competing with Marco, soo impressive. Sorry here for Stephan, we are already used to his great and very steady performances, I was not even surprised to see him win this trophee !
« La morale de cette histoire » is that there is hope for all and every young drivers in this drifting sport and I honnestly hope that big sponsors will take serious time to focus on real talent for 2009 budget. Not that I disagree with 2008 choice but maybe to spread more equally and look up at guys like those two who barely didn’t attract any attention before this event !
For you two guys.. Didn’t I told you before the qualifications that I knew you were going there ?
