Marco Santos will be racing in Long Beach California for the 2008 Redbull Drifting Championship sanctionned by Formula D series. According to Santos, Fred Girard declined his participation earlier this week due to sponsorship issues. Marco will bring the Infiniti G35 to California, leaving his new 350Z project for 2009 DMCC season. They have been working day and night since earlier this week on the G35 to rebuild the entire car. DMCC second place winner claim that he needs the G35 to perform as it's best for drift fans from accross the world. He also wants the car to be more reliable that it was in final round in Edmonton, Alberta.
We can remember that his turbo fell off and his drivetrain failed, things he don't want to happend in California. We will try to talk to Fred Girard, 2008 DMCC Championship winner and get his opinion on why he will not go to Formula D this year.
