We just talked to Marco Santos live from Long Beach California a few minutes ago. He confirmed that he crashed in the second practice run going off line at initiation, hitting some dirt and loosing control into the wall, front end first. The car was hurt pretty bad but the crew from Team GT already repaired the car for tomorow.
He also said that the track was freaking high speed, initiating the drift at over 100mph, fourth gear rev limiter for a big 3 seconds. According to Marco, the event is by far the most well organized that he has been to. He also wanted me to say " a big thanks to the juges" .....I think it's ironic !
Well it's the best drifters from around the world so it's for shure high level of competition. We'll see how it all ends this week-end !
