After discussing with Carl Brunet from Napierville Dragway last week we just got some fresh information about their Drifting implication and intentions for 2008. As we understood, they seriously want to get into this sport !
M. Brunet explained to us that lot of people were asking for this since the last year and it was just time to go ahead with the project. The place is already done, it's a 500 feet by 300 feet just in the back of the spectators where is the parking. They also took care of security by putting all the earth from the whole arround the track. M. Brunet say that as the speed will not be high this security should be enough until they get the track bigger. Final settings should be ready by end of mai if the snow is gone !
Carl also told us that if people like it this year they would probably grow the track up to 1000 feet long for 2009 ! The message from the owner was a clear invitation to the drifter to come practice for a very CHEAP PRICE ! So we'll see very soon what is cheap. The track will be available almost all saturday of the season. See you there !
