As most fans know, Fred Girard finished first last year in the DMCC championship and I really think he did a great job. Fred is known for his constance and wisdom, he’s just like a clock. Basically he’s a no mistake man. Anyways, I’m not a professionnal driver analyser nor a judge but it seems clear that he won last year championship and he didn’t stole it !
I’ve heard in the past few weeks that a lot of drivers has signed their sponsors and I’m very happy to see that the season is kind of looking cool, but not for everyone. My point here is that I don’t understand why sponsors choose the drivers they choose and who the hell they ask for advise?
I’ve heard that Ryan Lantagne that looks like a real good driver but that I never saw drifting in tandem has received a new Pontiac GTO, money and tires for the whole year when a driver like Fred Girard who has even proven his capabilities in the US has never been approached and still looking for sponsors ! Fred told me this morning that it’s possible that he’s going to pass the actual season if he can’t find enough support.
Could someone tell me where this sport is going if the last year champion doesn’t get the attention of any sponsors? Where is the drivers motivations if this is the prize !! Gosshhh, there must be something else to win other that a small trophee and a couple of dolars ? That's a serious concern in my opinion…
